Truck bed tent camping is a relatively new innovation in outdoor vacationing, and it has all the benefits of camping without some of the traditional hindrances. Remember that it's always worth a quick practice session before you set off on your first truck bed tent vacation!
Truck bed tents are offered with or without floors. There are benefits to both styles. Those without floors mean that you don't have to empty your truck bed before setting up home for the night. However, those with floors give you an additional sense of snugness and an extra layer of insulation. Throw in a couple of air mattresses and you're all set for a good night's sleep outdoors and off-ground. The sides of the truck mean that you have extra protection from the wind - it's also a good idea to park facing into the wind for this reason.
